For the first time in the electric scooter market, Bounce has come up with a novel solution to overcome the long charging time of EVs with the launch of the Infinity E1 in India. A few features make the Bounce Infinity E1 electric scooter stand out from other scooters, such as the partially exposed handlebar, a triangular rear foot peg, a disc brake, a hub motor mounted on the back of the wheel, and more.

Electric scooter Bounce Infinity E1 is now available in India. For the first time, the Bangalore-based ride-sharing startup has launched an electric vehicle in India, costing between Rs 68,999 and Rs 45,099 depending on the model (for the one without). Prices ex-Delhi for both sets of items.

For the first time in India, you can buy an e-scooter that comes both with and without a battery pack. Using the latter requires a paid subscription, and you’ll be charged a fee each time you use a battery swap from the company’s upcoming network.

It costs Rs 68,999 for the Bounce Infinity E1 with an interchangeable battery pack and charger. For Rs 45,099, you can get one without a battery pack that relies on the company’s upcoming swap stations. Both are ex-Delhi showrooms.

Customers can reserve a unit for a refundable fee of Rs 499, and deliveries are expected to begin in March 2022. Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver, and Come Grey are some of the colors available for the electric scooter.

An all-LED lighting system and a digital instrument cluster with smartphone compatibility are included in the Bounce Infinity. Geo-fencing, theft and tow detection, remote tracking, and battery charge status can all be accessed through a dedicated app. For added convenience, there’s a 12-liter under-seat storage compartment with a USB charging port and an apron, and under seat utility hook. When a puncture occurs, the scooter can be crawled at walking speeds using the crawl function on the electric scooter. The cruise control feature also comes standard on the electric scooter.

An 83Nm brushless DC hub motor powers the Bounce Infinity E1. In 8 seconds, the scooter can go from zero to 60 miles per hour, and the top speed is 65 kph. With a claimed range of 85 kilometers, the motor is connected to a removable lithium-ion battery. Using a standard wall outlet takes about 4-5 hours to charge.

A telescopic front fork and twin rear shocks are housed in the Bounce Infinity E1’s tube frame. Both of the vehicle’s wheels utilize regenerative braking. The scooter has alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
